Welling Court Queens NYC Mural Project

I am honored to announce my participation in the 2nd Annual ‘Welling Court Mural Project‘ in Queens, NY. Welling Court celebrates street art with nearly 60 artists, many world famous. The project symbolizes a unique collaboration of individuals and groups interested in making their communities and the world a more engaged and creative place. This project began when the members of the Welling Court neighborhood wanted to beautify their neighborhood and enliven their surroundings. Brooklyns own, Ad Hoc Art, known for supporting and expanding the accessibility of street art to the masses was a perfect fit.

I’d like to give a special thanks to Garrison and Alison Buxton for giving New York a special treat that only comes around once a year and for allowing me the opportunity to showcase Fumeroism. Also, we cannot leave out the appreciation for the residents of the community for this annual block party and celebration.

My contribution to Welling Court is a 15′ x 15′ mural of Albert Einstein. I chose Einstein because he was a visionary and one of the most important human beings that ever lived. Today after the mural is completed, I will have time to enjoy the party as a spectator myself…cool.

If you are looking for something special to do today, come see the artists transform several city blocks into an outdoor galleria, all within a weekend’s time. There will also be food and live music, as the community’s annual block party coincides with the opening of the project. The official opening is today at 3pm until 10pm tonight, but it will remain up for viewing 24/7/365.

Welling Court is located at 1151 Welling Court, Queens NY 11102…If you are using Google Maps, an address that will get you to the main intersection of the project is 11-98 Welling court, Queens, NY 11102. Note: 30th Avenue and 12th Street also intersect there.
