Pure Imagination

I am making advancements forward with a two pronged strategy on our global society. The motto for 2012 — ‘Going Global’ has both a literal and metaphorical meaning. It includes traveling to foreign lands to share my visual idea, my ism and collaborate with other artists. Metaphorically, by using technology and social media as another outlet of my creative expression. In our fast paced age of inter-connectedness, where we have become either logged on or linked in, I find the need to communicate myself multi dimensionally. As an artist in the ‘logged in’ age, I need to be a photographer, videographer, editor and social media manager to connect with people globally. I love the gallery shows, yet they have their limitations. The streets are limitless, and have no closing time.

The lyrics of “Pure Imagination”, originally sung by Jean Wilder in the movie “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory”, I personally find to be profound and it speaks volumes. Listening to the lyrics always brings me back to my childhood, back when I began to believe that anything I wanted to do can be done, and anything I wanted to be, I can become.
